Building community through youth mental health programs and tools
When we collaborate, promote mental health literacy and foster connection in communities, young people don’t have to navigate their feelings on their own.
Help shouldn’t be hard to find
No matter where a young person lives, or what they’re experiencing, they deserve support that recognizes their unique mental health needs.
Kids Help Phone offers non-judgmental support and a place for their feelings to go by meeting them where they are.
The Peer-to-Peer Community at Kids Help Phone
This free, moderated online forum is changing the way youth connect with each other about their mental health.
It’s private, inspiring and designed to foster belonging, while encouraging help-seeking through real, peer-driven connection.
Counsellor in the Classroom
This program promotes the discussion of mental health and well-being among students in Grades 4–12 across Canada.
It includes classroom activities led by an educator, a 45-minute phone or video call with a professional counsellor at Kids Help Phone, and an educational resource booklet.
Resources Around Me
This is the only national, youth-focused navigation tool of its kind in Canada.
It includes thousands of records that have been verified and curated with and for young people to help them find the right support, when and where they need it, whether through community services or trusted digital tools and apps.
